We present the June 2025 report by Miravalle 1926 on the state of wine in Italy, with reference to weather, vineyards, markets, and prices.
Situation in Wineyards
At the moment, the flowering has been completed in a positive manner throughout Italy, so I can confirm that the first projections, as of today, 20 June, are undoubtedly better in terms of both quantity and quality than in the last two years, which have been very poor for Italy.
At the water level, the situation is good: we have had abundant rainfall during the spring moree or less all over Italy, although for about a week now the temperatures have already reached 35-38 degrees well ahead of the norm.
Market and Prices
With this in mind, the market situation is calm, with withdrawals basically honouring contracts but with a certain slowdown for some red wines.
Prices, in general, are slowly but steadily falling.
Conclusion
We can therefore state that the Italian wine situation, as is the case in most of Europe, is positive in terms of production.
At the market and sales level, unfortunately the international geopolitical situation, the threat of American duties and other uncertainties certainly do not favour a vision and planning in the short and long term.
Let’s hope for common sense!
